This weekend we play against Columbus crew who is currently first place in eastern conference. Don’t know if I’m gonna play or not but either way I always enjoy coming here because I have bunch of friends that I met through my roommate Omar. He went to Cincinnati University which is 1:30 away from Columbus and every time I come here his friends come watch our game. Yesterday we met up with Nana who is originally from Ghana. He was really proud of what Ghana did in the world cup. They were the best of African country for sure. They even had a great chance to go semifinal if they didn’t miss pK against Uruguay in 90th min in quarter final. Ghana has been producing talented players and most of them are playing in European countries. Personally I really wanted to see Esien from Chelsea playing for Ghana but unfortunately he was injured during the world cup.
We also went to a shopping mall and watched a movie in Easton which was 15min away from downtown of Columbus. It was really nice area.
Anyway we watched Expendables last night and I was amazed with many famous action actors in one movie. There were bunch of crazy action scenes. It was one piece of entertainment.

We tied against Philadelphia today. We were trying to possess but we couldn’t do well as usual. We lost a ball in bad areas and we gave them chances to score. They had couple good chances in first half. I wanted to go up and provide width and help attacking but I could done only three times. With all three attacks I ended up crossing the ball but all three of them weren’t good delivery. I have been doing well in the training but comes to the game my delivery isn’t quality as in the training. I really need to train with game speed. If I can put more decent crosses, I think I will start assisting goals.
Second half we put one more midfielder to possess more but still they had more ball possession than us. We killed ourselves by making mistakes. We spent most of time defending in second half. After we scored they were still attacking. They weren’t breaking us down but they were just lunching long balls to forward over and over to get behind us. We couldn’t put enough pressure on their defenders who were kicking long balls so we had to drop a line to deal with it, but still one long ball got behind us and we conceded a goal. In this game my defense was pretty good but comes attacking I couldn’t provide enough compare to last game. When I get back to Denver I gonna work on crossing. I need to focus delivery area other than speed of ball. This was my first Philadelphia trip. Philadelphia is one of oldest city in U.S. Therefore there are many historical buildings and museums. If I had a time I want to do site seeing. And congrats to my captain Pablo Masteroni! He played most minutes for Colorado rapids in history! He is the man! I still gonna learn so much from him.

I was back in normal position right back. It’s been almost 4 years since I started playing this position. Now I am really confident playing right back.
It was a home game so my mentality was going forward and providing a width to attacking and good service to middle. 5 minutes into the game wales and me created good chance from our side and nearly scored. After that we created alot from our side and our first goal came from that. Defensively I thought I did good job. There wasn’t much attacking was created from my side by the opponent. We won 1-0 but we could score at least two more. Win is a win but still need to finish those chances in order to advance to playoffs. We don’t concede much goals but at same time we don’t score many. We still have 13 games left and we have 27 points in our hand. If we can get good results from next couple games, we should be in a right track to playoffs. Personally I need to provide more quality crosses and overlaps.
Next game is against Philadelphia Union away. They are new expansion team from this year. It is a brand new team but they do have lots of talented player so we need to focus and play just like against San Jose. If we can do that more likely we gonna get good results.
